Description

Deutsche Wohnen SE has committed to reducing the CO2 emissions of its own properties (approx. 15,000 buildings) to below 12 kg CO2eq./m² by 2040. Building on the defined target values, the concrete implementation of this climate protection roadmap must now be defined. The roadmap should define the selected properties each year and the associated measures proposed for the energy-related refurbishment of the heat supply to these properties.

Outcome:

  • The measures are evaluated using a parameter that puts the costs in relation to the emissions saved.
  • The energy refurbishment measure should be identified per property, year of implementation and per scenario considered.
  • In addition, this results in a large dependency in the selection of the measure depending on the regulatory framework considered (CHP vs. heat pump).
  • The network-specific ecological parameters of district heating through the use of geodata are taken into account.
