The Transport and Infrastructure division renders the full range of services related to strategic planning, economics and financing, traffic engineering, transportation planning, tunnels, bridges and structural engineering, urban and rural transport infrastructure for roads and railways. The company offers integrated solutions to accomplish its clients’ objectives, involving geo-information systems (GIS), Infrastructure/utilities, noise and vibrations, exhaust immission studies.
At Dorsch we subdivide in the six fields of Services and Concepts, Transport Planning, Access Planning, Roads, Railways, Intelligent Transport System (ITS).
Services and Concepts
The division´s real capital is represented by its staff of approximately 45 permanent employees and long-term freelance consultants including engineers, economists, scientists and specialists in a host of other disciplines. Staff participation in interdisciplinary teams coupled with the company’s wide range of fields and services, as well as extensive experience gained from projects in over 90 countries in four continents, ensure continuous innovation.
The Transport Infrastructure division handles up to 80 projects each year. These include studies, expert opinions and research work as well as development planning and feasibility studies up to project management, preliminary and detailed planning, construction supervision, commissioning, maintenance and staff training. Fees for projects vary from a few thousand to several million euros.
The Transport Infrastructure division serves both public and private sector clients. In Germany clients range from municipal authorities to federal ministries and from special-purpose agencies to industrial enterprises. Overseas the company carries out projects financed by multilateral institutions such as ADB, AfDB, EU, EBRD, EIB, the World Bank Group and by bilateral institutions such as KfW and GIZ as well as by local municipalities and private investors. The company´s regular completion of projects, of varying complexity, on schedule and within the given budget underscores its reputation for the provision of the highest professional standards, both in domestic and foreign markets.
