Description

GRE - Gauff Rail Engineering GmbH & Co. KG was commissioned by the Meißen-Dresden road construction authority with the planning for the new construction of the B101 road overpass in connection with the realisation of the Großenhain bypass.

In order to relieve the traffic congestion through Großenhain, a northern bypass will be built in two construction stages. In the course of the bypass, level-free crossings will be constructed in the area of the Dresden-Elsterwerda and Großenhain-Frankfurt/Oder railway lines and the B 101 federal road.

The road overpass of the B98n over the B101 in the town of Großenhain was built as a skew-angled, curved 1-span girder in reinforced concrete construction. The abutments with parallel wings have a flat foundation. In addition to the road cross-section of the B101, adjacent cycle paths and footpaths were also underpassed on both sides.

Dimensions:

  • Clear width: 13.50 m
  • Clear height: > 4.70 m
  • Length: 18.0 m
  • Total width: 12.0 m
  • Angle of crossing: 74.9 gon
  • Bridge area: 207 m²
